Some items are capable of storing energy for later use, while others can be improved or augmented with magic. The latter are the class to which the Sorcerer's Staff belongs. If the Enchant Staff spell is cast on it, a powerful weapon that emanates a beautiful blue energy is obtained. The effect is worth the mana expenditure, but it quickly disappears.
